Privacy & preferences

Saved on your device

Your shortlist, optional collector preferences, playground answers, fantasy watch box, saved fact links and passport stamps stay in this browser. Playground sharing links encode the choices or watch names and notes in the link fragment. Anyone you send a link to can read them. Imported boxes do not replace your own unless you choose to save them. Clearing browser storage removes this local data. Shared shortlist links contain product IDs and can be read by anyone with the link. Opening a shared link does not overwrite your saved items unless you choose to save it.

Community voting

Voting uses an anonymous random browser cookie to remember one current choice. The site stores a hash of that token with the choice and displays aggregate totals. Clearing cookies or using another browser can allow another vote; these totals are informal community feedback. No name or email is requested.

Optional measurement

If you allow measurement, we count page views, product handoffs by destination (Amazon Canada, Amazon US, Etsy, Redbubble or our main site), gift-finder use and shortlist actions in aggregate. These are interaction counts, not unique visitors or completed purchases. We do not send your shortlist, search terms, profile, full URLs or a visitor identifier. Counts are not sales or commission reports. We do not send marketing email. Hosting providers may process standard request logs to run the service.

External stores and videos

Following a link takes you to another provider and its privacy practices. YouTube videos open on YouTube; we do not load an embedded player here. Etsy, Redbubble and Amazon handle purchases. Amazon links include our regional affiliate tags.
